Program Overview 2024-2025
Players participate in two on-ice followed by off-ice sessions each week with two weight room session a week.
On-ice sessions take place at Dobson Ice Arena in Vail two mornings a week. After each skate players will be transported by school-operated van to VSSA back to campus to attend a mandatory study hall before starting their academic day.
Weight room sessions take place at the G.O.A.T training facility located in Edwards two mornings a week. Following weight room sessions, our athletes will attend an additional hockey specific off ice training session or have ice time on our outdoor ice rink.
Training sessions begin the week of November 5, 2024 and continue through March 28, 2025. Please see program break dates below.

Program and School Cost
VSSA Hockey Development Program: $3,600
Academic Fee: $575
Academic Tutor Program: $950 (Middle School) / $1150 (High School)
Process to apply
Every player must complete an online application to be considered for acceptance in the VSSA Hockey Development Program. This application is the first step to being admitted to both the athletic and academic program at VSSA. Upon submission of the application, a member of our team will connect you with VSSA Principal Wade Hill, who will initiate the school application process. You must be accepted to both the hockey program and the school to be fully admitted to VSSA.
Student athletes from other schools may apply to the VSSA Hockey Development Program. Keep in mind, on- and off-ice training takes place in the mornings prior to academics. Consult with your school principal about the schedule.
